Funny Fridays : #Ducktaping

Step aside planking and owling as the trending phenomenons in today's society....make way for......#ducktaping. LOL. I had the pleasure of coming across SF's newest fashion accessory this past weekend while out partying with friends. While there were definitely a variety of outfits and people that were of let's say "interesting taste"....this look by far captured the night. I mean booty shorts made out of duck tape is genius! And I'll tell you why. First, its cheap..forget spending $50 on a new dress when you can spend $5 on a roll of tape that can last you multiple uses. Second, its durable and strong. Girls you won't have to worry about your shirt ripping or anything falling out... this tape will lock you in. Lastly, if you're out drinking and have the incredible urge to "break the seal," well... you can't! Because the tape won't let you. How convenient :)  I'm thinking this trend is going to steal some thunder from the ever so popular lensless glasses, crop tops, and fedoras. So get your tape while it lasts.

Also, my mom's side of the family always swore by duct tape..that it could be used for anything. I always rolled my eyes and thought it was tacky....But now....I totally get it :)

Here are some fun articles about duct tape to make you giggle. Happy Friday!

GNO & GNI

Oh how I love the acronyms GNO and GNI. Girls Night Out and Girls Night In. In my opinion, these are two aspects of life crucial to women these days. Nothing is more important than spending quality time with your best girlfriends and keeping up with each others lives. It's always fun to get together even its for a couple hours on a week night and just be silly :) But which is better? In or out? I think the answer to that is simple. They are both equally as amazing. Girls night in is great because you can just chill and really dig into conversations with less distraction and more intimacy. I love kicking back with my friends mid-week, watching trashy reality tv, and accidentally finishing a few bottles of wine by the end of the night.  On the other hand, GNO is amazing too. It's fun to dress up and hit the town whether it be for dinner, drinks, or the best.... Cocks and Apps (cocktails and appetizers duh).

My friends and I have so much fun at GNO and living in San Francisco there are many spots that have become go-tos including Mas Sake, Tacolicious, Brixton,  & Tispy Pig just to name a few. All located in the Marina of course :) Here are the links to some of the GNO favorites.

Oh Hiiiieeeeee

Hiiiiiiiiieeeeee...That's my drawn out version of hello that one of my best friends from college, Kristyl, started saying and it was so infectious, that everyone started saying it. Everyone in Santa Barbara that is, where I went to college and spent an amazing four years of my life. While I miss the sorority and frat parties, beaches, and carefree life, I am just as happy living in the city that I love.... San Francisco. Living in SF, I have made the greatest friends, attended some of the best events, and seem to never stop enjoying my time here. Over the past couple of years I have gained an extensive social network (Thanks Facebook ! )and developed a passion for music, style, socializing, and more. So I figured why not share the things that I love everyday, that bring a smile to my face with everyone out there? Good idea I know. LOL...Not quite sure the formatting of the blog yet, but it is most likely going to segmented with a fun concept for each day of the week. Right now I'm thinking...

Music Mondays: Good way to start off the week sharing all my favorite house, electronic, dubstep, pop etc jams

Taco Tuesdays: Day dedicated to food, whether it be recipes, restaurants, or events, this will be for all the foodies out there :)

Wear it Wednesdays: Style time. Featuring fashion trends and hot looks

Thirsty Thursdays: This will be a work week pick me up dedicated to pumping you up for the weekend. Giving a run down of all the hot events coming up and getting you excited to have almost made it to the best part of the week...the END.

Fantasy Fridays: A random day with an assortment of fun,out there ideas and posts that take you away from the "everyday"

Saturdays and Sunday Funday. Saturdays may be difficult to keep up with since I'm usually pretty busy on the weekends, but  I will try to think of an easy topic to blog about (likely music). Thinking SER (abbreviation for seriously) Jam Saturdays... I'm thinking that Sundays will be a "sharing" day to gossip and tell  fun stories of the weekend events.

Well there is the low down on my blog! Wish me luck :) Can't wait to get it going!
